The Basics

The electric car conversion is all finished and the vehicle has been running smoothly since the BMS (battery management system) has been tweaked! When most people see the car for the first time, a lot of them ask similar questions so I put together a little document to give a quick overview of the project

So, what was the total cost? Car + parts?

  2. Rob, so excited to find your blog! I just bought a 2000 Boxster S with no motor or tranny, and will begin my conversion this summer. I still have to read through your posts, but I hope you'll be willing to answer questions I might have. Where are you located? I'm in Colorado Springs. Best, Alex

  3. Convert an ordinary Porsche Boxster in an electric vehicle should be a great experience. In fact, at a not excessive cost it is possible to get an electric vehicle that can be fully charged with only $ 2 and that can provide an autonomy of about 100 miles per charge. Really great!

  4. I would love to know the estimate of cost as well. I have a 2000 Boxster S which is either going to be donated, require $$$ to bring up to working order, or converted. I am also curious about your estimate of hours put int. Thanks!
